City Policies on Weather Cancellations

Postponed Events

If an event is rescheduled due to weather, organizers must notify Tacoma Venues & Events immediately. A revised permit may be required, depending on the new date and any changes to the event plan.

Safety-Driven Cancellations

The City reserves the right to cancel or suspend events during extreme weather conditions, such as high winds, flooding, or snowstorms, to protect public safety. Organizers will be notified by the City if such action is necessary
