Special Events Review Committee
The Special Events Review Committee is a multi-agency team responsible for reviewing event applications, comprised of various local agencies such as Police, Fire, Public Works, Health, Transit, Parks Tacoma, Liquor Enforcement, and more.
Event organizers may be required (or voluntarily attend) to present their event at a monthly review committee once a permit is submitted. These meetings are held virtually and are scheduled by Tacoma Venues & Events.

Language Access Support for Special Events Permit Applications
Translation and interpretation services are available as part of the permit application process.
Available Support:
Translation of permit applications and supporting materials into multiple languages.
Interpretation services for meetings with the Special Events Review Committee.
Assistance in completing forms or understanding permit requirements in preferred language.
How to Request Assistance:
Contact the Tacoma Venues & Events as soon as possible to request language access services.
Specify the language needed and whether written translation or verbal interpretation is required.
Requests should be made at least 90 days in advance to ensure adequate time for coordination.
