A Master Film Permit is required for any activity of filming, videotaping, or otherwise producing motion pictures for television or public exhibition at any place within the City, other than at or in an established motion picture, television, or photography studio, unless such person has first been issued a film production permit.
Master Film Permits may be submitted within a week of production, depending on the complexity of the project. The Tacoma Municipal Code specifies the guidelines for issuing Master Film Permits, as well as other requirements. It may be helpful to review this chapter before submitting an application. Tacoma Municipal Code Title 11.10 Production of Motion Pictures.
