All events on public property in Tacoma must adhere to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure they are accessible to individuals with disabilities. Event organizers are responsible for making the event site accessible and inclusive for all participants. Key guidelines include:

Ensure that entrances, pathways, and any seating areas are ADA-compliant. If areas are temporarily closed or redirected, accessible alternatives must be provided.

If the event requires portable restrooms, at least one accessible unit is required per set of restrooms provided. These units must be clearly labeled and strategically placed for ease of access.
