Tacoma Dome Welcomes Class of 2025
Thousands expected to attend 23 graduation ceremonies
June marks a season of celebration as the Tacoma Dome welcomes thousands of graduates, their families, and friends from across the region. Between June 1 and June 20, the Tacoma Dome will host 23 high school and college graduation ceremonies, starting with Bellarmine Preparatory School and concluding with Pierce College.
Additionally, the Tacoma Venues & Events team will host three ceremonies at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center.
As the class of 2025 crosses the stage and receives their diplomas, thousands of friends and family members will gather to honor them, visiting the Dome District and surrounding areas. Community members and area businesses are preparing for increased traffic around the Dome and convention center as graduates and guests attend ceremonies, stay at hotels, and celebrate at local restaurants.
“Every graduate who walks across the stage here contributes to the Dome’s legacy as a place of achievement, pride, and connection,” said Adam Cook, Director of Tacoma Venues & Events. “We’re honored to provide the backdrop for such meaningful milestones and to be part of Tacoma’s tradition of celebration.”
In 2024, over 8,300 graduates were awarded their diplomas on the Tacoma Dome stage with more than 85,000 people in attendance. Graduations in Tacoma last year generated more than $2 million in economic impact.
Graduates and guests are encouraged to plan ahead and review event-specific details at tacomadome.org, including the venue’s clear bag policy and recommended driving directions. Information for events held at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center can be found at tacomaconventionenter.org.
