Tacoma Dome and Tacoma Rescue Mission Partner for Socktober Community Sock Drive

This October, the Tacoma Dome is proud to partner with the Tacoma Rescue Mission to kick off Socktober, a month-long community sock drive aimed at supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship. Clean, warm socks are among the most requested items at shelters, and Socktober offers a simple yet powerful way for the community to make a meaningful impact.

Throughout October, concertgoers and local residents are invited to donate new, unused socks at designated collection bins located at the Tacoma Venues & Events (TVE) booth on the Tacoma Dome Plaza, as well as at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center. Concertgoers will have a chance to win various prizes including event tickets, merchandise packages, and more. The drive will be amplified through social media to encourage widespread participation.

Socktober will be spotlighted during major Dome events Sleep Token on October 7 and SEVENTEEN on October 11, inviting thousands of fans to join the cause and contribute to their community. Socktober will also be featured at additional community events throughout the month — follow Tacoma Venues & Events’ social media channels to stay updated on other donation opportunities.

This initiative reflects TVE’s mission of building vitality through Tacoma’s venues and events, while creating opportunities for the community to connect, contribute, and reflect the true spirit of Tacoma. For more information or to get involved, contact DeMeSHee Pye at DPye@tacomavenues.org.
